ARK’s Yellow Preefer Tip provides added texture to the ARK Z Vibe tool. Use it with any of ARK’s Z Vibe handles to stimulate the gums, palate, cheek, and tongue through stroking and by applying pressure. The gentle vibrations of the Vibe’s handle “wake up” the mouth and provide additional sensory input, increase sensory awareness and tolerance for varying textures and vibrations. Use the Preefer Tip to work on oral defensiveness and/or food aversions by de-sensitizing the mouth and introducing it to new textures. It can also be used to work on a variety of skills during speech, feeding, and oral placement therapy. Some of these skills may include:
•Lip and cheek awareness
•Facial stimulation
•Lip closure
•Mid-blade elevation
•Stimulate a suck action
