Product Description
This versatile program developed by Renee Roy Hill, is ideal for transitioning clients with motor-planning deficits from Oral Placement activities to speech production. The three sets of tools – Bilabial Shapes, Tactile Tubes, and Speech Blocks – provide tactile cuing so clients can feel where the articulators should be during speech production. When combined with verbal and visual cues, they provide a multisensory approach to facilitating speech. The program teaches the means for a transition from use of a tool to achieve correct movement patterns, to use of hand-assisted positioning cues and finally to verbal and visual cues alone. It is most appropriate for those clients who respond to these cues.
Each tool helps address a particular set of phonemes.
Tactile Tubes: oo/oh/ah
Bilabial Shapes: m/p/b
